Director of Presales

We are seeking a Director of Presales for our client’s New York headquarters. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Presales Engineers and ensuring the Sales team is supported by collecting and responding to technical needs of our prospects through demonstrations, discussions and exchanges of customer-focused  information. This position reports to the President and CRO.

 In this role, you will:  

  • Manage a team of 2-4 Presales Engineers, ensuring our Sales Team is supported with client-focused technical guidance and information during discovery and sales processes
  • Maintain, improve and communicate a knowledge fluency of our client’s video platform and products
  • Understand and communicate the competitive landscape in video technology and position our clients product value in that ecosystem
  • Ensure the quality of client-facing information gathering and demos of our products
  • Deliver technical pre-sales presentations focused on the needs of prospective publishers and other clients
  • Create and manage demos of our clients products that exceed expectations
  • Support the RFI/RFP process by providing thorough responses to technical requirements
  • Work for technical closure on sales opportunities, aligning with needs and areas of concern that are unclear
  • Work closely with senior management to internalize feedback to align with sales processes
  • Constantly improve, increase value and be an essential part of the Sales Team

 Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a Senior Sales Engineer role or a individual contributor role in a technical sales or support capacity in SaaS organizations, preferably video or ads tech
  • 5+ years experience managing a team of technical sales engineers
  • Technical “chops” to build demos (code) and “walk the walk” with clients
  • Experience consistently leading the sales process to close through insightful and measured presentation
  • Experience interfacing with Product, Product Marketing & Marketing to maximize message, sales and client acquisition
  • Successfully handle the ever-changing landscape of sales and product
  • Solutions focused attitude and delight in interacting with clients
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and pay attention to details
